A Pause, and a Thank You

A Pause, and a Thank You

Today I’m saying goodbye to the work that has shaped my studio for many years.

Tiny 18k gold pendant set with Montana sapphires

These pieces were made during a period of wide exploration—of form, scale, stone setting, and surface. Through this work, I refined my technical skills, learned to solve structural and fabrication challenges with greater confidence, and developed a deeper understanding of proportion and balance. Repetition and refinement across these designs clarified my visual language and laid the foundation for the work I’m making now.

Over the past year, something has shifted.

I’ve felt a growing pull toward simplicity—toward quieter forms, fewer elements, and a more deliberate way of working. I’m less interested in adding and more interested in refining, in asking what is essential and allowing the rest to fall away.

That way of thinking has begun to shape the work on my bench. The pieces I’m making now are more restrained, more focused, and more reflective of where I am—both as a maker and as a person. They feel like a distillation of everything I’ve learned so far.

This isn’t an ending so much as a clearing of space. A pause to honor what’s been, and to make room for what’s next.

Thank you for being here, and for allowing my work to evolve. I’m looking forward to sharing this next, more distilled chapter with you soon.
