When I created this mandala, I thought of my life as a mother. It starts with an emptiness, and then blossoms as the children grow and thrive. Times of loneliness yet also great joy radiating. Eyes everywhere, protecting and safeguarding. Then, as these precious beings begin to spread their wings and fly, holes left behind and the flower begins to fade, until the next season when it blooms again.

There has been no greater joy in my life than to watch my children grow into the spectacular human beings they are. However, as they approach adulthood, there is definitely an emptiness left behind.

This sterling silver mandala was hand-engraved and is approximately 1-1/4 inches in diameter. It comes on a 24-inch sterling silver wheat chain.
