For me, sand dollars have always been tied to memories of summer and family.

When I was young, I spent many summers visiting my grandparents in Charleston, South Carolina. During one of those trips, they bought me a small sand dollar from a shop along the boardwalk. Over the years, that simple shell became a reminder of those happy days by the ocean—warm sun, salt air, and time spent with people I loved.

These earrings are inspired by that memory and by the quiet beauty of the sand dollar itself. Hand-fabricated in sterling silver, they capture the delicate symmetry and distinctive pattern found in nature. Lightweight and comfortable, they serve as a small reminder of the shoreline and the memories that stay with us long after summer has passed.
